Copper plates are used in numerous applications involving heat transfer and thermal management, or submerged marine applications where the inherent antifouling characteristics of copper keep bacteria and other organisms from attaching to underwater surfaces. Copper plates are also widely used as gaskets, heat sinks, engine seals and radiators. They are also an ideal material for artworks.
