Embossed Plate, also known as Checkered Plate, Diamond Plate, and Floor Plate, is a type of metal sheet with a regular pattern of raised or embossed diamonds or lines on one side of the sheet. Embossed plates are usually in mild steel, stainless steel or aluminum.

The texture of embossed plate reduces the risk of slipping, making it an ideal material for stairs, catwalks, walkways, and ramps. The material is frequently used on the interior of ambulances and on the footplates of firetrucks. Additional applications include truck beds and trailer floors. Embossed plate can also be used decoratively, particularly highly polished aluminum variants.
